Srinagar, Aug 11: The Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM) successfully trained 166 students in its water skiing courses for the year 2024-25. Despite a sanctioned total of 150 seats, the high demand for these courses led to the enrollment of an additional 16 students from across India.
The courses were held simultaneously on Dal and Nigeen lakes in Srinagar from July 11 to August 9, 2024. The program concluded with a graduation ceremony, where Col IS Thapa, Principal of IISM, presented certificates to the participants. The final two courses had 43 students in the Basic Course, seven in the Intermediate Course, and two in the Advanced Course.
