IGP pips ranks to newly promoted officers at DPL Awantipora

Srinagar, Sept 30: A piping ceremony was held on Tuesday at District Police Lines Awantipora to honour the officials who have recently been promoted to their next ranks. On the occasion, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V K Birdi (IPS), pipped the ranks to the newly promoted officers/officials, a police spokesperson said in a statement issued here. He said a total of 08 officials were decorated, which included 04 ASIs promoted to SIs, 01 ASI (M) promoted to SI (M), 01 HC (M) promoted to ASI (M), and 02 SgCts (M) promoted to HCs (M). The ceremony was attended by DIG SKR, SSP Awantipora, Additional SP Awantipora and other senior officers of the Police District. IGP Kashmir congratulated the promoted officials, extended his best wishes for their future assignments, and urged them to work with greater dedication and commitment.
