Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG, Srinagar Sector CRPF, accompanied by other officers, carried out thorough security evaluation of yatra security camps and convoy route.

With an unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Sh. Yadav personally interacted with men and officers, boosting their morale and delivering an inspiring message ahead of the upcoming 62-day pilgrimage event.

During this exhaustive security review, IG briefed the crucial Road Opening Party component, deployed along the convoy route and oversaw contingency plan rehearsals. Subsequently, while reviewing Camp Security, he emphasised upon vigilance, alertness and persistent surveillance. Assessing the disaster management apparatus, IG took stock of the preparedness of Mountain Rescue Teams of CRPF. The MRTs shall be deployed at strategic locations to evacuate any needy pilgrim or to respond to any unforeseen calamity. Last year, the MRTs of CRPF had evacuated close to two hundred pilgrims & porters in the aftermath of unfortunate cloudburst of 8th July.

This interactive approach has fostered a sense of unity and preparedness among the dedicated troopers responsible for overseeing the pilgrimage.

With the event set to span an extensive duration of 62 days this year, IG, Srinagar Sector, CRPF stressed upon the importance of vigil, preparedness, and coordination among all agencies. The security and welfare of the pilgrims remain the utmost priority, and every effort has been made to create a safe and secure environment throughout their journey.

Yadav concluded the briefing by extending his best wishes to all the men and officers involved in ensuring the success of the pilgrimage. He expressed confidence in their abilities and commended their unwavering commitment to serving and safeguarding the pilgrims.

With a united commitment to safety and success, the upcoming pilgrimage event promises to be an memorable experience for all pilgrims.
