Jammu, 30 Oct: Shri Prem Chand, Deputy Secretary (Budget), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, visited the Jammu campus of Indian
Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) on Wednesday. Shri Chand took a tour of the IIMC campus to assess the infrastructure facilities and
engaged in meaningful interactions with students and faculty members.
He inspired the students with his words of encouragement.
Upon arrival, Chand was warmly received by Dr. Dilip Kumar,
Regional Director, IIMC Jammu and Vivek Pathak, Additional
Director (Administration), IIMC Jammu, presented him with a bouquet
during his campus tour.
During his interaction with the students, Chand motivated them to
stay committed to developing their skills and to gain a strong command
over content. He emphasized that with dedication and hard work, “no
power would be able to stop them on their path to success.” His words
were met with enthusiasm by the students, who expressed gratitude for
his visit and guidance.
Chand also contributed to the environment by planting a tree on
the IIMC campus as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative,
reinforcing his commitment to environmental conservation.
Chand was in Jammu to review the progress of Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan 4.0. Earlier in the day, he visited the All India Radio office
to assess ongoing activities under the campaign.
