A group of 26 young and dynamic IAS probationers currently on a Bharat Darshan tour had an interactive session with the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara.

The session aimed to provide probationers with a firsthand understanding of the challenges, opportunities and administrative intricacies in a region as significant and diverse as Kupwara.

The Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan welcomed the IAS probationers and expressed her enthusiasm for engaging with the future administrators of the country. She highlighted the historical, cultural and strategic importance of Kupwara in the region and provided a comprehensive overview of the various development projects and initiatives undertaken by the district administration especially during the last 04 years.

The interactive session witnessed a vibrant exchange of ideas, where the IAS probationers had the opportunity to pose questions and seek insights into the unique administrative challenges faced by the district. Discussions ranged from issues related to security governance, healthcare, education, infrastructure development, to the socio-economic dynamics of the region.

The Deputy Commissioner shared valuable experiences and anecdotes, offering practical insights into the art of administration and effective governance. She emphasized the importance of empathy, community engagement and innovation in addressing the complex issues that often characterize diverse regions such as Kupwara.

This interactive session not only served as a learning opportunity for the IAS probationers but also reinforced the significance of on-the-ground interactions in shaping effective and responsive administrative strategies.
