Srinagar Feb 17: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) will play a Hero I-League 2022-2023 match against Mohammedan SC on Saturday at the Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar.
Addressing a pre-match press conference RKFC’s Technical Director Gifton Noel Williams said they hope to defeat Mohammedan SC and get three points. “It will be a tough game as Mohammedan SC has a good side and experienced players. But our boys are well trained and are working hard to win this game. We play for the win and expect to score several goals tomorrow,” Williams said.
Asked whether the team was under pressure as Mohammedan SC defeated RKFC in one of their earlier games, he replied, “It is a new match and new philosophy. There is new energy among boys. We hope not to lose this game.”
Williams said the performance of the team is improving. “Two matches have been played under my coaching. We won one match and another ended with a draw. Had I joined six weeks ago, then things might have been different.”
Williams said there would be a couple of changes in tomorrow’s match.  “I want to tell RKFC fans to come out and support our team tomorrow. We need their support.”
Asked whether the team was under pressure after losing several away games, RKFC player Ibrahim Nuruddin said, “We don’t have any pressure. What happened in the past is gone. We hope to score goals tomorrow and win the match.”
Mohammedan SC coach Kibu Vicuna said it will be a difficult game since RKFC has a good side. “We know how difficult it will be for us because of weather conditions. We are prepared for that and take on RKFC,” he added.
