Joyous festivities amidst enthusiasm
JAMMU, Mar 25: The vibrant festival of colors, Holi, painted the city of temples and its borders with exuberance and traditional fervor as residents and jawans rejoiced in the festivities.
From common people to political parties and defense forces, everyone participated in the celebrations with great zeal, spreading joy and camaraderie.
BSF Jawans at Octroi Post in RS Pura sector of Jammu region indulged in Holi festivities, exchanging sweets and reveling in colorful merriment. Women officers, displaying equal enthusiasm, joined in large numbers, adding to the festive fervor. With drum beats resonating, BSF Jawans pledged to safeguard the country’s borders steadfastly.
Along the Indo-Pak border in Akhnoor sector, jawans celebrated Holi with equal gusto. Commander of 16 Corps, Naveen Sachdeva, graced the occasion, sharing in the jubilation with the troops.
“We may not be with our families, but the entire country is our family,” remarked the spirited jawans, underscoring their commitment to protect the nation’s borders, even amidst festive celebrations.
Meanwhile, the MahilaMorcha of J&K BJP rejoiced in Holi festivities at the BJP office, KachiChowni, Jammu, under the leadership of MahilaMorcha President, SanjitaDogra. Former Deputy Mayor of JMC, Purnima Sharma, also joined in the celebrations.
In various areas of Jammu, youth were seen immersed in Holi revelries, spreading joy and colors throughout the day. Groups of youngsters, on bikes, traversed different neighborhoods, extending warm Holi greetings and enveloping the city in a vibrant hue of happiness.
