HM to hold two mega rallies, 3 meetings in J&K: Officials

Srinagar, Sept 27: The Union Home Minister Amit Shah who is arriving in Jammu and Kashmir in the first fortnight of October and will be holding two mega rallies and three other different meetings, officials said.
The officials said that the exact dates of the visit are yet to be finalized. The J&K government has appointed five senior-IAS officers as in-charge for the overall arrangements regarding the visit, the officials informed.  
According to a senior officer in the J&K administration, Shah will be holding two mega rallies at Rajouri and Baramulla. Apart from Rajouri and Baramulla, Shah will also hold meetings at Convention Center Jammu and RajBhawan Auditorium, he added. 
Shah will also visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine (SMVDS).
Meanwhile, the J&K government today late this evening issued an order which confirmed the appointment of five senior-most officers as in-charges for the overall arrangements regarding the VVIPs visit. However, the order did not name the VVIP.
According to the order issued, Principal Secretary to the Govt Housing and Urban Development Department Dheeraj Gupta will look after the arrangements at Baramulla, Principal Secretary Higher Education Department Rohit Kansal will look after the overall arrangements at Rajouri.
Similarly,  Commissioner Secretary Revenue Department, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri,  will look after the arrangements at Convention Center Jammu, Secretary Tourism Department, Sarmad Hafeez at Raj Bhawan Auditorium and CEO SMVDS, Anshul Garg to look after the visit Katra, where Shah is set to pay obeisance at the holy shrine.
