Jammu, Oct 2: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be reaching Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening to start his 3-day-tour of the Union Territory (UT).
J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul told The Rising Kashmir that Shah will reach Jammu at around 7 pm on October 3rd.
After reaching Jammu, he is supposed to meet some deputations from Gujjar, Bakerwal, and Pahari speaking communities besides meeting a delegation of Yuva Rajput Sabha that is expected to thank the Union Home Minister for declaring the holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh on September 23.
“Meeting the deputations has not been confirmed yet,” Ashok Koul said.
On October 4th, the HM will reach Katra town at around 8: 30 am to pay obeisance at the cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
The same day, he will address a major public rally at Rajouri Bus Stand in between 10:30 am to 11 am.
In Rajouri, where Gujjars, Bakerwals and Pahari speaking people have a sizable population, Shah is also expected to grant Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to the Paharis.
After addressing the rally in Rajouri, Ashok Koul said, the Union Home Minister will return to Jammu in the afternoon to inaugurate various developmental projects from the Convention Centre Jammu.
From the Convention Centre Jammu, Koul added, Shah will travel to Srinagar to address a rally in the summer capital. He will also meet LG Manoj Sinha and chair a security review meeting with the top brass of army, police, CRPF and other security forces in Srinagar.
Shah will also lay the foundation stone of various developmental projects from Srinagar.
Ashok Koul said that after Srinagar, the Union Home Minister will travel to Baramulla on October 5. In Baramulla, he is expected to address another major rally of 30000-50000 people at around 12 noon, said Koul.
After the Baramulla rally, HM Shah will reach Srinagar, from where he will fly back to New Delhi.
