A hit-and-run accident occurred today at Ghat Road, Doda, reportedly due to over speeding. Locals allege that the presence of illegal FCI trucks on the road, combined with reckless driving, contributed to the accident.
As per the officials, The incident involved a vehicle bearing registration number JK14B 4553. A 12-year-old child was critically injured and was initially rushed to GMC Doda. Due to the severity of the injuries, the patient has been referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment.
Residents have expressed anger over frequent accidents in the area, blaming overspeeding and illegal truck operations for putting public safety at risk.
Authorities have registered a case, and further investigation is underway.
