Jammu, May 29: Historic Tata IPL Fan Park 2023 evoked huge response in Jammu at Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government PG College for Women Gandhi here tonight.
Around 20000 fans visited the venue and enjoyed the event amid excitement, thrill, enthusiasm and fanfare.
The final match of the IPL 2023 was washed out yesterday, however after witnessing a huge rush yesterday, Jammu witnessed final of Indian Premier League (IPL)–one of the major leagues in the country on a giant screen at–‘Fan Park’—the first of its kind event, organised by the BCCI at the same venue here.
Like yesterday, the entry was at 5:30 pm onwards today and the match started at 7 pm.
The BCCI official Amit Siddheshwar said that ‘Fan Parks’ like events witnessing whistles, cheering, face painting, shoutouts, crazy stunts, was all about the fans and with every breathtaking moment captured on the giant screens, the venue broadcast the LIVE action giving the stadium-like feel to the fans.
He revealed that the entry was absolutely free for the visitors and the fun and excitement doubled up with music, merchandise, food stalls, beverages and sonic fun activations by WL’s official sponsors.
He lavished praise on J&K UT Administration and Police Department for cooperation and coordination.
“We are highly to J&K UT Administration in general and District Administration led by Ms Avny Lavasa in particular for providing us the requisite favour,” said Sidheshwar
Media Manager JKCA, Rajesh Dhar said that it was a great opportunity for the cricket fans of Jammu to enjoy aroma of IPL in the Fan Park.
He was all praise for the Administrators of BCCI and JKCA for this wonderful initiative.
He said the Sub Committee Members of JKCA including Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration JKCA; Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development and Sunil Sethi, Member Legal Affairs JKCA deserve appreciation for making it happen in Jammu.
