High-end brands wooing customers in valley

Srinagar, Nov 21: Over the years franchises of diverse high-end and popular brands have forayed in valley markets. The introduction of a large number of such brands has not only garnered the context of ‘brand consciousness’ among people, but the markets have also taken a leap towards introducing and launching a number of famous brands time and again.
The introduction of the branded clothing has not only given a fillip to the clothing business in the markets but also steered an overwhelming response from the customers.
In recent years several new brands selling clothes, accessories, jewellery, and footwear have ventured into Kashmir markets leaving the customers with a vast choice of the quality products to choose from.
People associated with these brands are of the opinion that the market response for the popular brands has always been on a positive trend.
Kashmir has a booming retail market for the launch of any popular company or brand. Be it clothing, footwear, kids clothing, brands have attracted customers on the basis of their quality.
Puma, Superdry, Columbia, Biba, Women, Skechers, Metro, Fab India, Nike, are few of the top clothing and footwear brands available in the Srinagar markets at present.
“Srinagar city is a bustling marketplace for any kind of quality clothing, footwear or household items or accessories. Once you introduce the product which already has a worldwide or countrywide recognition and trust, customers prefer to try it”, Ibraheem Ahmad who runs a clothing store at Residency Road said.
Those associated with the business revealed that right marketing and customer approach paved a smooth way for a customer friendly response towards any newly introduced product.
“ There is a huge demand for men’s clothing brands and women’s clothing brands as well”, Ibraheem said.
The establishment of several shopping centers across the Srinagar city has augmented the boost to the business while these places offer the customers a diverse choice of clothing , footwear and other accessories under a single roof.
Zuhaib Malik of EMM BEE Tradings , deals with the business of branded jewellery, watches and accessories . He says that the customers are becoming aware of the brand equity and quality of the products
“In current times people have got access to any kind information regarding new brands, quality products, available around the world just a click away. With the introduction of branded clothing or accessories people are trying them out and can determine between the good quality and bad quality. They know what is the worth of the brand”, Zuhaib said.
Muhammad Aadil who is a dealer of the branded clothes stated that the demand for the branded clothes was gradually increasing in the valley with the opening of several branded stores.
He said that owing to a growing demand in the valley many national and international brands were opening their franchisees in Srinagar.
Lately, India’s one of the largest and fastest growing apparel and accessories speciality chain of Reliance Retail, Trends, opened several stores across the valley. Trends is known for offering stylish, high-quality products across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and fashion accessories and footwear.
The first store of Trends was launched in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. At present Trends successfully runs several stores across Srinagar city and other parts of Kashmir valley.
