Srinagar, Nov 28: The Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) continued its good show in Hero I-League 2022-2023 as the team defeated Churchill Brothers by a solitary goal on Monday at the Synthetic TRC Srinagar.
From the beginning of the match, the RKFC players started attacking the opponent team and dominated the game at its home ground in front of thousands of spectators.
In the first half of the match, no team could score a goal. RKFC created a few chances but could not convert them into goals. However, in the second half, the RKFC managed to score a goal in the last minutes of the game. Samuel Kynshi was named the hero of the match.
Addressing a post-match press conference, RKFC head coach Mehraj Uddin Wadoo said they are “really happy” with the results of the game. “All credit goes to the boys who gave their 100 percent what we expected from them. There is always room for improvement. We made a few little mistakes and we will go to the field and make sure we don’t repeat them,” he said.
Wadoo said this has been a good season so far. “Winning matches in the early season is always important. The next game is against TRAU FC which has a good team also,” he added.
Churchill Brothers Head Coach said RKFC has a good team. “They really played good football and credit goes to them,” he added.
The snow leopards have remained unbeaten this season so far. The high-flying Snow Leopards have had a solid start to the new season, with victories against NEROCA FC (1-0) and Rajasthan United FC (2-0), and a goalless draw against champions Gokulam Kerala FC. Now it won against Churchill Brothers (1-0). The team is scheduled to play against TRAU FC on December 1 (Thursday) at its home ground Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar and the match will start at 2 pm.
