Ganderbal, Apr 13: Following a meeting with Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, the owner of Langer, affectionately known as Helmet Baba in Baltal, expressed the possibility of deploying an ambulance near the holy cave this year to address any unfortunate incidents during the pilgrimage.
Swami Arpinanand, also known as Helmet Baba, informed Rising Kashmir that they are providing helmets to Amarnath pilgrims for their safe journey to the holy cave of Amarnath.
He highlighted the casualties caused by the 2022 floods near the holy cave and commended the decision by authorities to construct a road leading to the cave, ensuring safer passage for pilgrims.
Expressing gratitude to the Ganderbal administration for their pivotal role during the yatra, he emphasised the importance of collective efforts in ensuring pilgrim safety.
Arpinanand said they have requested ADDC Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, to deploy also an ambulance near the holy cave to swiftly respond to any unfortunate incidents. ADDC Simnani has assured that every possible measure will be taken to ensure pilgrim safety, he said.
