Dr. BIMAL CHHAJER

In recent days a lot of doubts have been created about stents – excessive cost, unnecessary use and dubious quality. More than 6 lacs stents have been implanted in the year 2021 netting Rs. 6000 crore extra/ill gotten money to the cardiologists and heart Hospitals. The excess of anything ultimately gets caught. The Government took a decision to reduce the cost of stents by 85%. Even after this it will still make money for the heart hospitals.

The basic question that remains still now is- were these stents needed? Is this the only way to treat heart patients? Why the number of heart disease patients increasing? What may the more appropriate treatment of heart disease?

Heart disease occurs because of excess fats in the food, lack of exercise, tobacco consumption, non-control of BP, Diabetes, Obesity and excessive stress. The fats called Cholesterol and Tryglyceries – if excess in blood keep on depositing inside the heart tubes over the years. Heart patients remain unaware about these blocks till it reaches 70-80% stage – because heart requires only 20-30% of its blood supply. By the time the symptoms appear the blocks have reached 80% or more. Then only the heart patients reach the hospitals and cardiologists make the kill and put expensive stents. The patients, even after the stenting, carry on with the same lifestyle and reblock the stents – thus the next stents are put. Then what may be the ideal solution?

The best alternative is Lifestyle training of the heart patients and education of them. Most of the heart patients are medically illiterate – they need to know about Cholesterol, Triglycerides, the correct dose of exercise, stress management skills, Yoga to prevent heart disease, ways and means to control Diabetes, high BP, overweight. If they are in advanced stage they need optimum medical management also.

SAAOL – or Science and Art of living – is one such organisation which has a pan India presence combines a complete lifestyle education program for heart patients along with optimum medical management. For the past 27 years, SAAOL has marked its presence all across India and is now aiming to spread globally.  Punyya Life Foundation (PLF), an NGO which is a social venture by SAAOL will take this initiative to treat heart attacks without stents further.

SAAOL’s heart program includes complete education about heart care delivered to the patients and spouse in the form of one day camps. Dieticians, doctors, Yoga experts educate the heart patients one heart disease management by Food, exercises, knowledge and Yoga. SAAOL also controls serum lipids, BP, Sugar by allopathic medications – protecting the patients from heart attack. Drugs are prescribed to thin the blood and reduce angina. The patients return to their work immediately. They also avoid stents or Bypass surgery. SAAOL also provides other alternation treatments from Ayurveda, Homeopathy, ECP and EDTA therapy – all non invasive ways to help heart patients.

SAAOL detox therapy is a mix of Allopathic Detox medicine called EDTA along with all possible ways to remove toxins from our body. It has Ayurveda, homeopathy, herbal drinks, Unani, and naturopathy components too. After successfully treatments many heart patients in the last twenty-six years, we have found that this Detox works much more effectively not only in removing toxins from the body but also helps in the reversal of blockages. The most important ingredient of this therapy is intravenous EDTA- which is an Indian government-approved anti-toxic medicine that helps in the removal of metal poisoning and other kinds of toxins from the body.
