Health Minister pays visit to MP Er. Rashid’s ailing Father at SMHS Hospital

Srinagar, April 19: Jammu and Kashmir’s Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, on Saturday visited SMHS Hospital to check on the condition of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, father of Member of Parliament Sheikh Abdul Rashid.

She was accompanied by MLA Hazratbal Salman Sagar, Principal GMC Srinagar Dr. Iffat Hassan Shah, Medical Superintendent SMHS Dr. Andleeb Bashir, along with senior doctors, consultants, and hospital staff.

During the visit, the Minister interacted with the medical team and was briefed in detail about the patient’s health status, ongoing treatment, and recovery progress. She instructed hospital authorities to ensure the patient receives top-quality care, with all necessary facilities and specialized treatment provided without delay.

Emphasizing the need for continuous monitoring, Sakeena Itoo directed that a team of experienced specialists remain engaged in the patient’s care to ensure comprehensive medical supervision.

She also met with the patient’s family members, expressing concern over his condition and assuring them of full support from the Health Department. The Minister wished the patient a swift recovery and commended the efforts of the doctors and healthcare staff involved in his treatment.
