Budgam, Feb 04: Despite the challenging weather conditions with heavy snowfall and slippery roads, the Department of Health in Budgam district has been actively providing support to patients across the district.
An official from the health department, Budgam informed Rising Kashmir that in the Khansahib medical block, two pregnant patients were successfully evacuated from remote villages and are now receiving adequate treatment at the Sub District Hospital KhanSahib.
In the Khag medical block, four patients were evacuated, with one being referred to Sub District Hospital Beerwah and another to SKIMS MCH, Bemina, for further management. Additionally, two successful NVDs (normal vaginal deliveries) were conducted at PHC Khag, and both patients are recovering well.
In the Beerwah medical block, two patients were evacuated, one with polytrauma and another with COPD exacerbation, and both are currently receiving treatment at Sub District Hospital Beerwah. Furthermore, an emergency OT (operating theatre) facility has been set up at the SDH to handle any unforeseen circumstances.
The Sub District Hospital Charar-i-Shareef and Sub District Hospital Pakkharpora are also fully prepared to handle any potential situations. Two pregnant women were rescued from remote areas, and one of them has successfully delivered a healthy baby and is currently receiving treatment at Sub District Hospital Charar-i-Shareef.
The Director of Health Services, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, along with the Chief Medical Officer of Budgam, Dr. Ayoub Fateh Khan, visited SDH Chadoora to assess the situation and ensure proper management.
