Katra, May 09: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Friday organised a Hawan through sacred Vedic hymns at the holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji for invoking divine blessings for peace, harmony and well-being of the people of J&K and the entire nation.
Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, along with officers and staff participated in the Hawan led by a group of pandits headed by the Mukhya Pujari, who performed the sacred rituals. The event held at the Yagyashala near Atka area aimed to uphold the sanctity and traditional essence of the rituals while ensuring their alignment with established religious practices.
On the occasion, the CEO highlighted that the Shrine Board has been consistently organizing various Hawans, Yagyas and other spiritual activities on significant occasions. He said that a large number of pilgrims are availing the facility of Havan and Nav Chandi Path at the new Yagyashala on a routine basis. For convenience, devotees can book Poojan services online through the official website of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB). In addition, the CEO reviewed the operationalization of the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), along with the sub-control centers on the yatra track focused on enhancing the pilgrim safety and strengthening the security grid.
Notably, a series of modern security and surveillance equipment is being installed in the Shrine area as per the directions of the Chairman, SMVDSB ( Lt Governor, J&K), which includes X-ray baggage scanners, door frame metal detectors (DFMDs), hand held metal detectors (HHMDs), under vehicle search mirrors (UVSMs) and an integrated network of 700 CCTV cameras to be monitored through an integrated command and control centre (ICCC) at Katra and 7 sub- control centres on the track.
