Bandipora, Jan 31: Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, on Tuesday said that Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra would not have been possible in the valley, had peace not been restored by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the union territory.

Addressing the media on the sidelines of a function in Bandipora district of North Kashmir, she said that the efforts of PM Modi are clearly visible here, allowing Rahul Gandhi to do the Yatra that hadn’t been seen for 30 years.

She added that the BJP and especially the Prime Minister have considerably improved the circumstances in J&K, which can be seen by all.

Andrabi asserted that this is the fi rst time in Jammu and Kashmir’s history that they are greeting the day without being aware of whether there is a hartal, stone throwing, or if they will step outside their homes since BJP had conjured a peaceful atmosphere.

She said that the greatest accomplishment for the people of Jammu and Kashmir is that they are strolling on the streets without threat.

“Individuals merrily leave their homes in the morning since Modiji and his administration reestablished peace in Kashmir,” she said adding that Rahul Gandhi ought to be appreciative to the prime minister for his endeavors in making Jammu and Kashmir tranquil.
