Kulgam, May 03: Government Polytechnic College Kulgam witnessed a vibrant display of student engagement and enthusiasm as 26 participants joined forces for an orientation cum standard writing competition. The event, held on Friday, showcased the dedication of students towards understanding and implementing Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) guidelines.
Key resource person Mehak Rasool and Resource Person Umar Mukhtar led the charge by delivering detailed lectures on various facets of BIS, including its core activities, ISI mark, hallmarking, and the utilization of the BIS Care app. Their insights provided invaluable knowledge to the eager participants.
Under the watchful eye of the college’s esteemed Principal, Altaf Gohar, the competition unfolded smoothly. The top performers were duly recognized, with the winners of the first four positions receiving cash prizes of Rs1000, Rs750, Rs500, and Rs250 respectively.
The success of the event was not just limited to the competition itself. The meticulous arrangements, including provisions for refreshments and stationery, were seamlessly executed thanks to the coordination efforts of mentor Rayees Ahmed Mir.
