Jammu, Apr 25: PSPS Govt PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu organised Yoga competition with great enthusiasm and fervour in the College premises here on Tuesday.
Principal Minu Mahajan was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Yash Paul, Convener IQAC was the guest of honour.
Both the dignitaries were gracefully welcomed by Prof Malti Rajput, Dr RoopaliSlathia and Sports Committee of the College.
Fifteen girls participated in the competition and performed Surya Namaskar and any three asanas of their choice. All the participants displayed extraordinary Yoga skills to make the job of picking the winners difficult for the adjudicators.
Manbi Sharma clinched first place and Nilakshi Sharma bagged second position, while Shruti and Simran claimed third and fourth position respectively.
Principal Minu Mahajan congratulated all the players and honoured the medal winners.
She also lavished praise on the Sports Committee for organising the event in a most befitting manner.
Prof S Parihar, Prof Nidhi, Prof Varun, Prof Abhinav, Prof Sugandha, Prof Eisha, Prof Suman, Prof Swarm, Prof Harmeet, Prof Poonam, Prof Neelam and Prof Rohit were also present on the occasion.
The event was adjudicated by Tarun Kumar, National Yoga Player.
