Verinag, Apr 27: Former J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Thursday alleged that the BJP Govt has crossed all limits of betrayal and mis-governance while pushing Jammu and Kashmir towards its darkest era in terms of development and democratic setup.
Addressing a gathering of party workers at Omoh Verinag, Mir said there was no development to be seen since the Modi Govt assumed power at Centre, besides all the tall claims made by it have fallen flat. He said despite this, BJP still claims to have transformed its poll promises into the reality, which is untrue and a move to further mislead people.
According to a party statement, Mir said people of Jammu and Kashmir are witnessing worse under BJP Rule especially post 2014 when Modi Govt assumed power at Centre.
BJP has grossly indulged in vendetta politics while making false claims on all fronts, but it is set to face a humiliating defeat in forthcoming 2024 elections, as people across the country are equally feeling cheated and betrayed like people of J&K, Former JKPCC Presided added.
Mir said employment has risen considerably, the irony is that no efforts are being made to create job avenues, only inaugurations of projects and tall claims occupy front pages of newspapers aiming to build a fake narrative, which are based on lies and deceit
Taking opportunity of the meeting, Former JKPCC President appealed people to support Congress Party in its endeavors to seek resolution of their issues, for the fact, Congress party stands committed to  cause of serving people and safeguarding  just rights of the people, which is a paramount to Party (Congress), he said
On this occasion, Former JKPCC President declared that as per the directions of AICC, Congress Party is going to launch a mass contact programme at Panchayat level across J&K, shortly.
