Govt announces winter vacations for degree colleges

Srinagar, Dec 20: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday officially declared the winter vacations for Government Degree Colleges (GDCs) in the Kashmir division and the winter zones of the Jammu division, effective from December 27, 2024, to February 14, 2025.
In an official communication, Dr. Rashmi Singh, Commissioner Secretary to the Government said that all Government Degree Colleges in the Kashmir Valley will observe winter vacations during the period from December 27, 2024, to February 14, 2025.
Additionally, all Government Degree Colleges in the Jammu division that are categorized under the winter zone will also follow the same winter vacation schedule from December 27, 2024, to February 14, 2025.
Conversely, Government Degree Colleges in the Jammu division that fall under the summer zone will have their winter vacations from January 1, 2025, to January 10, 2025.
