Jammu, Apr 29: In response to the recent spell of extreme weather marked by incessant rainfall, cloudbursts, flash floods, and hailstorms that have wreaked havoc across district Ramban, the administration has announced a comprehensive three-day assessment campaign to evaluate damages.
According to the order, designated officers have been asked to hold camps for the assessment of damages of the public/private properties and losses of human lives/live stocks from 29.04.2025 to 01.05.2025.
The Assessment Supervisory Officers, the order said, shall spend at least one night in the allocated Patwar Halqas. Lamberdars and Chowkidars of the concerned Patwar Halqa shall assist the visiting officers along with their teams in making the assessments of the damages/loss of lives/livestocks.
It further said that all District/Sectoral Officers of the Line Departments shall issue orders in favour of their subordinate staff working at Block/ Panchayat-levels to remain compulsorily present at the venues of the camps on the scheduled dates without fail, along with all relevant information of damages of their respective departments/schemes.
Patwari Halqa concerned shall coordinate with their respective visiting officer/officials mentioned at Annexure-A under the overall supervision of Tehsildar concerned.
The District/Sectoral officers concerned shall depute their staff/technical team/representatives to the camp sites as per the given schedule/date.
