Government Degree College Kangan students attend Chinar Book Festival

Ganderbal, Aug 27: Government Degree College Kangan participated in the Chinar Book Festival 2024 at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.
Organized by the National Book Trust under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the festival showcased a remarkable array of literary works across approximately 100 stalls.
The Chinar Book Festival drew local, national, and international publishers, providing a comprehensive literary experience for attendees.
The festival featured an extensive range of publications, including academic texts, novels, non-fiction, and specialty books, catering to a diverse audience of book enthusiasts.
Under the able leadership of Prof Sadaf Nazir, Pricipal Govt Degree College Kangan, a delegation of students from Government Degree College Kangan accompanied by Mr. Amir Amanullah, Librarian of the college thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the festival.
The event offered them a unique opportunity to explore various genres and interact with a wide spectrum of publishers and authors.
Many students were seen engaged in discussions about their favorite books and gaining insights into the latest trends in publishing.
The students not only enjoyed browsing through the extensive collection of books but also seized the opportunity to purchase titles that piqued their interest. The variety of books available allowed them to pick up new readings that align with both their academic pursuits and personal interests.
The visit was met with enthusiasm from the students, who appreciated the exposure to new literary works and the opportunity to meet and interact with prominent figures in the publishing world.
Many students expressed their excitement about the diverse range of books and the knowledge they gained about the book industry. The students extended their thanks to the worthy Principal of the College, Prof Sadaf Nazir.
The Chinar Book Festival 2024 proved to be an enriching experience for the students of Government Degree College Kangan. It not only broadened their literary horizons but also sparked a greater interest in reading and learning.
