Ganderbal, Nov 16: The “Golden Glory ECO Park,” in the picturesque Sonamarg area within Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, has swiftly captured the attention and admiration of tourists. This “Golden Glory ECO Park” was inaugurated earlier by the Lieutenant Governor as part of the visionary initiative ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh,’ marking a pivotal milestone in the region’s tourism development.
The collaborative efforts of the Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA), District Administration Ganderbal, and the Lieutenant Governor’s Administration have been lauded by both tourists and local stakeholders. Their combined dedication has led to the remarkable development of the Golden Glory ECO Park, garnering widespread appreciation for its aesthetic appeal and eco-friendly features.
Grateful voices from the community emphasize the potential economic upswing that this initiative promises for the region. The transformative impact on the local economy is anticipated, with the park poised to become a key driver of tourism-related revenue.
The park has swiftly evolved into a preferred destination for tourists, drawing praise for its serene ambiance and sustainable design. One of the visitors from Surat Gujrat told Rising Kashmir, that they are captivated by the allure of creating memorable Instagram Facebook reels against the backdrop of the park’s scenic vistas. Sonamarg, already renowned for its natural splendor, now boasts the added attraction of the Golden Glory Park, creating a harmonious blend of nature and sustainable development, he said.
An official from the Sonamarg Development Authority shared insights into the future of the Golden Glory ECO Park. Plans for further enhancements and expansions in the coming year are underway, reflecting a commitment to continually elevate the tourist experience. The goal is to attract an even larger influx of visitors, solidifying Sonamarg’s reputation as a must-visit destination.
Crucially, the SDA’s proactive approach extends beyond seasonal considerations. Recognizing the untapped potential of winter tourism in Sonamarg, the authority is actively implementing strategies to promote and facilitate visits during the colder months. This comprehensive outlook aims to diversify the tourist experience, ensuring that Sonamarg remains a compelling destination throughout the year.
Locals believe that the “Golden Glory ECO Park” stands not only as a symbol of sustainable development but also as a testament to the collaborative efforts that can elevate a region’s profile in the realm of tourism. As it continues to evolve and expand, Sonamarg’s Golden Glory Park is poised to leave an enduring mark on the cultural, economic, and environmental landscape of Central Kashmir.
