Srinagar, Dec 26: To address the prevalent security situation across South Kashmir, a joint security review meeting was held at Awantipora area of south Kashmir on Tuesday. The meeting was aimed at thoroughly examining and deliberating upon the current security landscape in South Kashmir.
The meeting, co-chaired by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Victor Force and V K Birdi, Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Kashmir Zone, brought together high-ranking officials from the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
A senior police officer said the primary focus of the ‘Security Review Meet’ was to comprehensively analyze the existing security situation in South Kashmir. “The participants engaged in extensive deliberations to evaluate ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, assess the effectiveness of security measures, and identify any emerging challenges,” he said.
