Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party, has called upon the Jammu and Kashmir administration to mobilize all available resources to assist the distressed residents of Kishtwar following a devastating fire incident that resulted in the extensive loss of property worth crores.

The calamitous blaze consumed nine shops and a significant number of residential rooms owned by Altaf Hussin Malik, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. It has come to light that the severity of the damage could have been mitigated had there been a well-equipped and prompt firefighting system or emergency services nearby, underscoring the immense loss incurred.

In light of this tragic event, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party, initiated contact with local district authorities to emphasize the need for immediate support to the affected community. His plea was directed toward the Lieutenant Governor’s administration, urging them to provide every conceivable form of assistance to those who have suffered in this unfortunate incident.

Additionally, the Vice Chairman of DPAP and former MLA Inderwal, G.M. Saroori, has also taken the initiative to engage with district officials and reach out to the affected families. Their efforts signify a collective commitment to alleviating the suffering of those impacted by this unexpected tragedy.

The people of Kishtwar are undoubtedly facing a challenging situation, and the calls for comprehensive support from local leaders and authorities reflect the need for immediate action to help those affected rebuild their lives in the wake of this devastating fire incident.
