The calamitous blaze consumed nine shops and a significant number of residential rooms owned by Altaf Hussin Malik, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. It has come to light that the severity of the damage could have been mitigated had there been a well-equipped and prompt firefighting system or emergency services nearby, underscoring the immense loss incurred.
In light of this tragic event, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party, initiated contact with local district authorities to emphasize the need for immediate support to the affected community.
