GMC Anantnag’s ethics committee granted dual registration

Srinagar, Apr 20: GMC Anantnag has announced dual registration of its ethics committee by Department of Health Research (DHR) and the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) on April 18, 2024.
A spokesperson of GMC Anantnag said the milestone underscores its commitment to advancing medical research and innovation.
“Led by the dedicated efforts of the committee members and with support from the institution’s leadership, the ethical committee has achieved recognition from both apex bodies, affirming its adherence to national standards and regulatory requirements,” he said.
Principal GMC Anantnag, Prof. (Dr) Anjum Farhana has extended gratitude to all involved, emphasizing the significance of this achievement in advancing healthcare capabilities in the region.
Dr Mansoor Ahmad, Member Secretary and Associate Professor at GMC Anantnag, lauded the collaborative spirit that facilitated this accomplishment, highlighting the committee’s commitment to ethical practices and patient welfare.
Dr Owais H Dar, Spokesperson GMC Anantnag, has also congratulated the department for its dedication and resilience, underscoring the importance of this milestone in aligning with national standards and fostering excellence in medical research.
The dual registration of GMC Anantnag’s ethics committee marks a significant leap forward in the institution’s pursuit of excellence in medical research and patient care.
The medical college remains steadfast in its mission to uphold ethical principles and drive advancements in healthcare on both regional and national fronts.
