Kulgam, Sept 13: In a massive show of strength and public support, Janata Dal United (JDU) today held two major rallies at DH Pora in Kulgam and Anantnag West to back its key candidates, Dr. Ayub Matoo and Dr. Gul Mohammad Azhari, ahead of the upcoming elections. The rallies, led by JDU Party president G.M. Shaheen, were attended by senior party leaders and a large number of supporters from across the region.
During his speech, Shaheen made several significant promises aimed at addressing the core issues faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He vowed that, if elected to power, the JDU would work to waive off the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans, which have been a source of financial distress for many farmers. He also promised to revoke the cases of stone pelters who have been illegally jailed by regional political parties like the National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Congress, and to fight for the release of innocent prisoners who have been wrongfully incarcerated.
Shaheen further emphasized the party’s commitment to creating more opportunities for the youth, promising *increased employment avenues* as a key part of JDU’s development agenda. “We are committed to securing the future of our youth by providing more jobs, ensuring that no young person is left behind,” he said.
