Pulwama, June 12: Girl students from south Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian districts have achieved remarkable success in the recently announced 10th class examinations.
The results, released last Thursday, showcased impressive performances by students from both government and private schools in these areas.
Among the notable achievers is Mohsina Binti Maqbool from Wandakpora village in Pulwama. Mohsina, who attended Government High School Goripora, scored an impressive 99.2 percentile.
She credits her success to early preparation and consistent study habits.
“I started my preparations from the beginning of the session, covering small portions from each subject daily,” Mohsina said.
She dedicated specific hours to different subjects, with Mathematics and Science in the morning and other subjects in the evening.
Expecting around 490 marks, she was elated to score 496 out of 500.
Mohsina acknowledged the support from her teachers and her uncle and expressed her ambition to pursue a medical career by aiming for NEET in 2026.
Another outstanding student is Shahzadi Lareba from Keegam village in Shopian. Shahzadi, who attended Solace International High School Drussu Pulwama, achieved a 99 percentile.
She attributed her success to consistent revision and a balanced study routine.
“Each day I covered portions from each subject, increasing my efforts in the last two months to complete the syllabus,” she said.
Shahzadi was pleasantly surprised to score 495 marks, exceeding her expectation of 490. She stressed the importance of sports, prayers and meditation in maintaining her motivation. Shahzadi aims to become a doctor, planning to prepare for NEET.
Gousia Nisar from Murran village, a student of Al Habeeb Modern High School Pulwama, also stood out with a 98.6 percentile, scoring 493 out of 500 marks.
Gousia mentioned that she devoted around eight hours daily to her studies, highlighting the significance of consistency and prayers in her success.
She aspires to pursue a career in civil services post-graduation.
Gousia is already popular in the locality for her remarkable achievement of writing The Holy Quran in just 21 days, a feat that brought her into the limelight.
