Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad visited historical Perumal Mosque in Kochi on Wednesday.
Azad offered Nafal prayers at India’s first ever and the oldest Mosque in the sub-continent, (Perumal Mosque) Kochi.
It is pertinent to mention that 1500 hundred years ago, Perumal Mosque was built during the life time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This mosque is a blend of history, serenity, and spirituality.
Accompanied by committee members and the Mosque’s Imam, Azad participated in a special two rakat Nafal namaz, highlighting the significance of this sacred site.
The mosque, with its mesmerizing architecture, continues to be a hub of religious activity, serving as a spiritual sanctuary for daily prayers. Hosting a congregation of over 3000 people, the mosque witnesses massive gatherings, particularly on Fridays and during the holy month of Ramadan, adorning a festive ambiance.
