Geyser blast kills Budgam resident, two family members injured

Budgam, May 22: A tragic incident occurred in Narkara village in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of one man and injuries to two others due to a geyser explosion at a local residence.
A local resident of Narkara village told Rising Kashmir that around 6 PM, they heard a loud explosion and rushed to the scene.
“Following the incident, all the injured people were promptly transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, one person succumbed to their injuries, while the condition of the other injured persons is stable,” he said
A police official from Police Station Budgam confirmed to Rising Kashmir that one person had died as a result of the geyser explosion in Narkara. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Gani Dar, a resident of Narkara Budgam.
“The Report of this incident has been also registered at the Police Station Budgam,” official mentioned.
The explosion caused significant damage to the house, resulting in its collapse.
