GDC Soibugh participates in educational fair ‘Inspire ED 2024’

Srinagar, May 31: Students and faculty members from Government Degree College (GDC) Soibugh participated in the educational fair “Inspire ED 2024: Inspiring Minds, Igniting Dreams”, organised by Mahakaushal University at Tagore Hall, Srinagar on Thursday.
The event was attended by a total of 37 students and two faculty members, Dr Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, the Head of the Department of Sociology, and Dr Osia Majid from GDC Soibugh. Alongside participants from other colleges in the Kashmir Valley, a total of 730 students took part in the fair.
Designed to blend information with entertainment, the programme engaged and educated attendees effectively, the college said in a press release issued here, adding that students expressed their satisfaction at gaining valuable knowledge during the fair, which featured interactive sessions and displays covering various subjects.
Dr Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, renowned for his dedication to academia, was honoured with a memento in acknowledgement of his significant contributions to the field. His commitment to education and mentorship has inspired many students and colleagues alike. Two meritorious students, Zeenat Rahman and Misbah Ashraf from GDC Soibugh, were awarded medals for their outstanding achievements and academic excellence.
The statement added, “The event was deemed a grand success, showcasing the talents and accomplishments of the participants. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge, reflecting GDC Soibugh’s commitment to holistic education and student development. The fair served as a platform for students to showcase their skills, learn from experts, and interact with peers from various disciplines. It not only provided a valuable learning opportunity but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among the participants.”
The students left Tagore Hall with newfound knowledge, inspiration, and a sense of accomplishment, marking the event as a significant milestone in their educational journey, the college said.
