GDC Ramgrah holds wall painting competition to create awareness on hygiene

Samba, Sep 24: The Eco- Club Amrita of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh Wednesday organised a Wall Painting Competition on the theme ‘Swachhta’ (Cleanliness) as part of the Seva Parv Campaign. As per a statement issued here, the Competition was held under the guidance of the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol and Head of the Department of Education Prof. Sandeep Kumari and Convener of the Eco Club ‘Amrita’ Dr. Shivali Panjgotra. Students enthusiastically participated in the event, transforming campus walls into vibrant displays of art conveying strong messages about hygiene, sanitation and collective civic responsibility. Using colour, symbolism and impactful imagery, the participants portrayed the essence of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The event not only encouraged creativity but also reinforced the values of community service and cleanliness. Harmandeep Kour and Hema Choudhary were awarded the first prize for their outstanding artwork, while Malika Choudhary and Radhana secured the second prize and Sonam Verma and Komal Devi received the third prize. The event was a meaningful initiative to blend artistic expression with the spirit of service, aligning with the objectives of Seva Parv and fostering a culture of cleanliness and responsibility within the campus.
