Srinagar, May 13: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Saturday reviewed the G20 Summit healthcare preparedness in the valley.
Accompanied by divisional and district-level health officers, the Director visited various health facilities which include Kashmir Nursing Home, SKICC and SKIMS Soura. He took a detailed review of the upgraded health facilities and laid strict directions to the in charge of these facilities to complete the pending works, if any, as per the deadline.
While inspecting the mentioned health facilities, Dr Mushtaq expressed satisfaction over the status of logistics, human resources and equipment that have been augmented in view of the upcoming G20 Summit. He gave directions to the officers in various compartments of the health section units of health institutes to further improve upon the healthcare facilities.
The DHSK emphasised a foolproof and well-coordinated system to be put in place among the healthcare centres for the smooth functioning of services during the summit.
Later, in the evening, the Director held a detailed meeting at the newly-established 24×7 control room for the G20 summit in which all the officers of the health department were present.
