Srinagar, March 16: As part of preparations for this year’s G20 Summit events, the Health Department Kashmir on Thursday organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) training program at Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport.
The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir sent a team from the Regional Institute of Health & Family Welfare (RIFW), Dhobiwan and conducted day-long training program the Airport.
Spokesperson DHSK, Dr Mir Mushtaq said the BLS program was conducted in the airport premises as part of preparations for the upcoming G20 Summit to be held in Srinagar.
“In the program, 75 participants from airline staff, apron control, CISF and others concerned officials attended the program,” he said.
The health department is planning to conduct more rounds of this training at the Airport as for other stakeholders during the coming days in order to cater to the training requirements of the staff of various agencies concerned with the conduct G20 events.
Dr Balwinder Singh and Dr Tajamul Rashid, who are certified from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) conducted the training.
