G-20 campaign: Painting competition held at IUST

Awantipora, Feb 23. A Painting Competition on the theme ‘Education for Empowerment’ was organized today at IUST under the aegis of Dean of Students, and coordinated by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
This forms a part of the series of initiatives planned at IUST for the widespread dissemination of information about the significance of India’s G20 Presidency. In the event around fifty students and scholars participated and the winners were felicitated with cash awards and certificates.
While addressing the felicitation ceremony, Prof. Shakil A Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST stressed the fact that the pursuit of education helps in building a progressive, just, and equitable society. He said that education uplifts societies and events like today’s are organized to sensitize the youth about the importance of education and imbue among them a sense of responsibility toward nation-building and realizing inclusive, holistic, and sustainable development.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Owais Gulzar (Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering) and attended by deans and officials of the university including Dean Academic Affairs, Dean of Students, and Librarian.
Upload reports of 4th phase of ‘Back to Village’: Govt to officers
Srinagar, Feb 23: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday said that all Prabhari Officers nominated for the programme shall upload the reports of 4th phase of ‘Back to Village’ on 28th Feb, officials said.
As per the GAD, in continuation of government orders issued on the subject, all Prabhari Officers nominated for the programs shall upload the reports of the programme, on a web-based application developed by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, by 28th of February.
“For ensuring, the utilization of requisite data by various departments for the planning process; Prabhari Officers shall also Chair the Panchayat level, inter-departmental meetings, during already prescribed first Monday of the month to secure Panchayat level convergence,” it said.
As per the Order, all Administrative Secretaries shall review the performance of Prabhari Officers of their departments and also ensure the uploading of B2V4 reports on the aforesaid application.
“Director(s)/Joint Director(s)/Deputy Director(s) Planning, posted in various Departments of Civil Secretariat shall be the Nodal Officers for monitoring updation of data on the application in respect of Officers of Departments,” he said.
On Feb 20, visiting officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Government will physically visit Panchayats between the 21st to 28th February 2023 during the fourth Phase of Back to Village (B2V4)” Programme.
The order said that it is hereby ordered that the Prabhari Officers deployed for the “Fourth Phase of Back to Village (B2V4)” Programme shall physically visit the assigned Panchayats between 21st to 28th February for a day and ensure saturation of demand for self-employment.
