Jammu, Nov 22: Scores of youth on Friday joined the National Conference (NC) in an “impressive” programme held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan here.
The programme, presided over by S. Tejinder Singh District President Jammu Urban YNC, witnessed an overwhelming response from the young generation, reaffirming their trust in the vision and leadership of the party, the NC said in a statement issued here.
Welcoming the youth into the party, Gupta expressed his delight at the growing interest of youth in the National Conference, saying their participation symbolizes a collective aspiration for a brighter future. He said that young people have a critical role to play in nation-building and reiterated the party’s commitment to providing platforms for their empowerment and progress.
“National Conference has committed to protect the land and job rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to ensure that the youth have secure opportunities and a stable future within the region,” he said.
Gupta asserted that the National Conference government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has prioritized youth-centric policies, skill development initiatives, and employment opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the new entrants that the party remains dedicated to creating an enabling environment for the youth to excel in various fields.
“The National Conference has always believed that the youth are the architects of tomorrow. We will intensify efforts to address their challenges, including unemployment, lack of skill development opportunities, and access to quality education. Through dedicated programmes and reforms, we aim to transform their potential into a powerful force for change and progress,” he said, adding that the party believes in the “youth-first” agenda.
The newly joined youth expressed their faith in the National Conference, attributing their decision to the Party’s historical contributions to the development of Jammu and Kashmir and its consistent focus on inclusive growth, the statement said.
Senior NC leaders motivated the youth to work collectively for the betterment of the region and to strengthen the base of the party at the grassroots level. The newly joined members pledged to uphold the values of the National Conference and to work tirelessly for the prosperity and progress of Jammu and Kashmir, the statement said.
