Jammu, May 29. “Given the kind of atmosphere prevailing in the country and the state of Jammu and Kashmir at present, it has become clear that whenever the assembly elections are held in Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress will form the government on its own,” said Satish Sharma, former chairman of the Jammu Municipal Corporation and secretary of JKPCC.
He added, “The way all the opposition parties of the country are coming together, it is clear from this that after the 2024 Parliament elections, the UPA government will be formed at the Centre and full statehood will be restored to Jammu and Kashmir first.”
Sharma was addressing a public meeting in Dadap Panchayat of RS Pura Jammu South Assembly. He said, “The truth of BJP has now come in front of the people of the country and J&K; that’s why it is postponing the assembly elections of Jammu and Kashmir every time because BJP has now known that it will face a crushing defeat in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Attacking the Central government, Satish said when Jammu and Kashmir was made a union territory by removing Article 370, the people of Jammu and Kashmir were shown “big dreams”. “But today it has been more than four years since Article 370 was removed, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir are feeling cheated,” he said.
Satish said the “huge victory of Congress in Himachal and Karnataka elections has proved that now in the country only those people will come to power who talk about development because the country has gone a long way due to the politics of religion and religion”.
“Over the years, poor and middle-class people are taking care of their families with great difficulty, but few industrialists of the country have become owners of trillions. We have to vote by keeping them in front and Congress is the only party in the country which understands the pain of the poor because BJP only cares about the rich and Congress about the poor,” Sharma said.
