Srinagar, Dec 06: A free medical camp was conducted on Wednesday at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir’s Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Shuhama campus.
The camp was organised by the Community Services Club of FVSc under the World Bank-ICAR funded National Agricultural Higher Education project (NAHEP) for IDP of SKUAST-K.
Led by Dr Naveed Nazir Shah, HoD, Government Chest Diseases (CD) Hospital, Srinagar, the medical camp witnessed the participation of a dedicated team of specialists, including Dr Hina Mustafa, Dr Aliya Mohi-ud-Din Azad, Dr Adnan Hamza, Dr Adil Sheikh, Dr Suhail Maqbool, and Dr Hanan Syed.
During the event, the medical professionals conducted thorough health examinations of over 150 patients hailing from the surrounding areas of Alusteng, Shuhama. The initiative aimed to provide essential health check-ups and create awareness about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
This endeavour was an effort by the Community Services Club to serve the local community by addressing healthcare needs and fostering a culture of well-being. The free medical camp was SKUAST-K’s efforts in advancing public health initiatives.
