Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested four drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A Police spokesperson said, “Police party of police station Khansahib during naka checking at Raiyyar crossing intercepted 4 persons roaming in suspicious conditions and carrying 4 nylon bags. As the police party tried to approach them, they tried to flee from the spot however police party apprehended them tactfully and during search of the bags 16.7 Kgs of Charas like substance was recovered from their possession.”
“The arrested persons were subsequently identified as Abdul Aziz Khan S/o Ghulam Mohammad Khan, Javeed Ahmad Khan S/o Late Ghulam Qadir Khan Residents of Zoogu Khariyan and Bilal Ah Magray S/ o Abdul Gaffar Magray 04) Ishfaq Ah Shah S/o Bashir Ahmad Shah Residents of Brass”, he said.
He said that case FIR number 55/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khansahib and investigation taken up.
