New Delhi, March 26: The Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis (FMSA) has praised the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for passing a strong resolution in support of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh.
The resolution raises serious concerns about the violence, injustice, and forced conversions faced by the Hindu community there.
FMSA said that every religious group should be treated with respect and safety. Attacks on Hindu temples, Durga Puja pandals, and religious leaders are worrying. “Many Hindus in Bangladesh have been forced to leave their homes over the years, and their population has fallen from 22% in 1951 to just 7.95% today. The ABPS has done the right thing by demanding action to stop these attacks,” reads the statement.
Professor Jasim Mohammad, Secretary General of FMSA India appreciated the effort and agreed with ABPS that global organizations like the United Nations should take strong action to protect Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh.
FMSA also admired the courage of Bangladesh’s Hindu community, which has been peacefully fighting for its rights. “Many Hindu groups in Bharat and across the world have also raised their voices, which is a positive step.”
FMSA called upon all human rights groups, religious leaders, and international bodies to come together and ensure safety, justice, and equal rights for all communities.
