Five injured in road accident on Srinagar–Sonamarg-Gumri road

  Ganderbal, Sept 22: Five persons from Kargil sustained injuries after a Santro car collided with a truck near Ranga Mode on the Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri (SSG) Road in Zojila area on Monday. Officials said that the Santro vehicle (registration No. JK002BG/9929) was on its way when it collided with a truck (registration No. JK02CC/2395), resulting in injuries to all five occupants of the car. The injured have been identified as Manzoor Hussain, son of Sadiq Ali Balti, Shabir Hussain, son of Hussain Ali Balti, Sadiqa Bano, wife of Manzoor Hussain Balti, Masrat Zara, daughter of Manzoor Hussain and Fareeda Bano, daughter of Moad Hussain — all residents of Kargil. They were initially shifted to PHC Sonamarg for treatment, from where three of them were referred to SKIMS Soura in Srinagar for specialized care. Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
