Srinagar, Nov 30: The Department of Finance held a function at Convention Centre Jammu to bid warm and affectionate farewell to Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, who attained superannuation after serving in key positions in Jammu and Kashmir and outside the Union Territory.
Senior officers of the department including Dr S.D Vaidiya, Principal Secretary Finance, DG’s, Director Finances and other officials hailed the contribution of the outgoing Chief Secretary in the implementation of various regulations and introduction of technology, besides streamlining the working of the administration.
The officers and officials highly appreciated the services rendered by Dr Mehta and the vast experience he brought to the functioning of the administrative apparatus. They remembered the tenure of the outgoing Chief Secretary as full of opportunities for the UT which saw a huge development push during this period. They praised Dr Mehta for his efforts in raising the developmental profile of Jammu and Kashmir.
