RJD’s Misa Bharti, daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad and Grand Alliance candidate from Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency on Friday raised the issue of the reported removal of the photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the Corona vaccination certificate and alleged that when doubtful results of the vaccine are coming out, fearing defamation, the PM’s picture has been removed.

Speaking with the reporters, Misa Bharti said, “It is an old habit for the Prime Minister to take credit for any work. Now, when doubtful results of the Corona vaccine are coming out, fearing defamation, the Prime Minister’s picture has been removed from the Corona vaccine certificate.”

She also said that the leaders of the Mahagathbandhan are making the public aware and emphasised the need for an investigation of the vaccine. “The general public is being made aware of this by the leaders of the Mahagathbandhan. Corona vaccination is a subject of investigation and it should be investigated at every level and strict action should be taken against the culprits,” she said.

The Grand Alliance candidate from Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency also attacked the BJP party for showing up in the state of Bihar only during the elections. “BJP leaders only come to Bihar during the elections. They only remember Bihar at the time of the elections…”
She further added, “I just want to know when Bihar will be getting the special package. When will the sugar mills in the state re-open, when will the state get factories… When will PM Narendra Modi, JP Nadda and other leaders of the party will answer that?”

The statement of Misa Bharti on vaccines comes in the wake of a recent admission by AstraZeneca, the pharmaceutical company, that its Covid vaccine Covishield and Vaxzevria “can, in very rare cases, cause Thrombosis Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS).”

However, in light of these concerns, the pharmaceutical giant reiterated its commitment to patient safety while emphasising the vaccine’s overall safety profile.

An AstraZeneca spokesperson stated, “Our sympathy goes out to anyone who has lost loved ones or reported health problems. Patient safety is our highest priority, and regulatory authorities have clear and stringent standards to ensure the safe use of all medicines, including vaccines.”
Despite these rare occurrences, the pharmaceutical company maintains that extensive clinical trial data and real-world evidence consistently support the vaccine’s safety and efficacy. Regulatory agencies worldwide continue to assert that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks of such extremely rare side effects. (ANI)
