Srinagar, Nov 16: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, have paid heartfelt tributes to the founder-editor of the Srinagar Times and renowned short story writer, Sufi Ghulam Mohammad, on his death anniversary.
In their tribute, the duo expressed admiration for Sofi’s cheerful and generous nature, highlighting his significant contributions to the fields of journalism and literature.
Recognized for his integrity and amiable personality, the duo said “Sofi Sb, described as a pioneer, established the foundation of impartial and unbiased reporting in the vernacular press, advocating for the common man for over five decades.”
They prayed for his soul to be elevated to the highest ranks of Jannat by almighty Allah.
