Farooq Andrabi joins prayers for rain at Charar-i-Sharief

Srinagar, July 28: Apni Party’s Media Advisor, Farooq Andrabi on Sunday joined thousands of devotees in a significant procession from Chadoora to Charar-i-Sharief, where they offered “Salatul Istisqa”, the special prayers for rain.
According to a press release issued here, amid a scorching heatwave and prolonged dry spell in the Valley, thousands of people gathered at the revered Ziyarat Sharief of Alamdar-e-Kashmir Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani in Charar-i-Sharief, on Sunday morning, to offer special prayers for rain.
“A large number of people gathered at Ziyarat Hazrat Shah-e-Hamdan in Chadoora, central Kashmir’s Badgam, and travelled to the revered Ziyarat Sharief of Alamdar-e-Kashmir in Charar-i-Sharief. Upon assembling at Charar-i-Sharief, they offered “Salatul Istisqa,” special prayers for rain,” the press release said.
It added, “Farooq Andrabi participated in this august gathering and joined the special prayers at the Ziyarat Sharief of Alamdar-e-Kashmir.”
