Srinagar, Aug 22: National Conference President, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday confirmed the alliance between National Conference and Congress on all ninety seats of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference, Abdullah confirmed that the India Alliance in Jammu and Kashmir is firmly on track as political parties gear up for the upcoming elections.
“We had a very good meeting in a cordial atmosphere. The alliance is on track, and it will run smoothly this year,” Dr Abdullah said, signaling that discussions regarding seat-sharing have reached a significant milestone. “This has been finalized, and it will be signed in the evening.”
On inclusion of other political entities in the alliance, Dr. Abdullah assured that the Congress, along with other partners of the India Alliance, will collaborate in Jammu and Kashmir. “Congress and us, we are together. Tarigami is with us,” he said.
Abdullah expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, highlighting the positive atmosphere within the alliance.
Meanwhile a source privy to the development told Rising Kashmir that seat-sharing has been finalized and will be signed today.
