Srinagar, Feb 03: Health Department Kashmir on Saturday sealed the clinic of an alleged “fake doctor” in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Chief Medical Officer, Anantnag, Dr Mohammad Yousuf Zagoo said it came to their notice that one alleged fake doctor is practicing in Anantnag.
“Taking cognisance of the matter, a team of officers/officials was deputed from this office, which sealed the clinic immediately and an investigation in this regard is going on,” reads a circular issued by the CMO.
He said the alleged “fake doctor” has escaped when a team was sent to apprehend him. The department will further investigate the matter and verify whether he has any valid degree or not.
Meanwhile, to make the system transparent, the CMO has directed all Private Hospitals/Clinics of Anantnag district to furnish information of all the doctors practicing in their respective hospitals/clinics as per the devised proforma within three days.
